Horizon High School

Horizon High School is Dane County's Only Recovery School.

Horizon High School is a private non-profit sober high school located in Madison, WI.  Horizon was started by a small group of parents who had children in recovery and wanted a safe and sober place for their teens to go to high school.  With the help of a local counselor and a grant  from a generous local family, they opened Horizon High School in January in 2005.

Since its opening, Horizon High School has been a safe place for teens in recovery from drug or alcohol abuse to maintain their sobriety and graduate from high school.

Everyday at Horizon students are challenged academically and supported by their peers.  Each student has an individual Recovery Plan and participates in daily group counseling with our AODA counselor.

Enrollment at Horizon is continuous throughout the year and students and parents are welcome to inquire about about admission to Horizon at any time.
