Substance Abuse Services

Tellurian UCAN began providing substance abuse services in 1975. Today, a full continuum of care is available. Each patient's treatment plan is based upon a full assessment, from which each individual's unique needs are identified. The care provided is tailored to address the unique needs of each patient. Patients considered dually-diagnosed, with mental health diagnoses in addition to their substance abuse diagnosis, are also served.

Adolescent Services

Tellurian UCAN provides adolescents residing in Dane County, Wisconsin with intensive outpatient services funded by the Dane County Department of Human Services. The Network program provides screening and assessment services and develops treatment plans based upon the results of the assessment. Services to the family are a key component of programming and is required.

Mental Health and Housing Services

Tellurian UCAN provides an array of services for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and in need of supportive housing within the community.

Mental Health Services

Tellurian UCAN provides mental health services (with no housing services provided). These services are separately described from our Substance Abuse Services, although there are many clients who present with both a mental health and substance abuse diagnosis. You will also want to review the Substance Abuse services if you may have substance abuse issues in addition to mental health problems. And if housing problems relate to mental illness, you will want to review the Mental Health and Housing section.

Housing Services

Homelessness is a continuing problem for many communities. There are shelter programs available of many kinds within the Dane County area. Many families find themselves repeatedly in need of housing services from the shelters within Dane County. Tellurian UCAN services for the homeless focus on the needs of homeless families, who have been unable to break the cycle of homelessness, due in large measure to unmet social needs.
